Information Technology Specialist job with USAJobs

Duties

  • Lead the design and development of the United States Trustee’s applications, web services, and third-party provider solutions.
  • Ensure continuous operation and management of new and legacy systems/software by applying technical and project-related knowledge and skills.
  • Advise senior-level officials and contract staff on technology-related work and projects, to include strategies for software/application development, deployment, and maintenance of IT custom applications and web services.
  • Serve as an expert on software development, to include use of software development life cycle processes and continuous integration and development tools.
  • Write scripts utilizing scripting language, such as Phython/Yami/Java/Bash.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Information Technology Specialist at (GS-2210-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.
If you are a current government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade.

Basic Qualification Requirements :

For the GS-2210-14,

1. You must have at least 1-year of IT-related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or pay band in the Federal Government (see examples of equivalent specialized experience below);

AND

2. Your IT-related experience must demonstrate you possess each of the four competencies listed below:

a. Attention to Detail
b. Customer Service
c. Oral Communication
d. Problem Solving

Please Note : The level of proficiency required for each competency above has been predefined based on the position requirements.

Specialized Experience

Examples of equivalent specialized experience are (1) Serve as an expert in software development, design, or deployment; (2) Utilize software development lifecycle processes and procedures for systems and software applications; (3) Manage applications in Microsoft Azure Gov; (4) Oversee the administration and development of an operating system; (5) Provide advice and consultation to contractors and staff on state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing trends, and (6) Maintain and oversee the continuous integration/continuous deployment pipeline.
