Get in touch with your critical IT support team right now and ask them to document every single step that you perform to eradicate this threat from your system and networks. Do not repeat the same mistakes. You have already spent hours troubleshooting a problem that could have been prevented if you had acted upon installing the right security measures in the first place. 4. Prioritize More Practical Solutions

It is always better to look for a more practical solution. You are likely to have many different solutions to one particular problem. It is not better to go with your hunch or intuition. It is always better to weigh the pros and cons of each approach too. Any potential solution is always going to have a potential drawback to it as well. You must choose a solution that has the minimum number of drawbacks and the maximum number of advantages. Also, make sure that this solution is the fastest to perform so that you can get everyone back to work in the shortest span of time.

In the steps mentioned above, there was something about documenting the troubleshooting procedure. You have the basic background info of the problem with you. You have also implemented solutions and protective measures that worked to eradicate the problem. Now you must take steps to reproduce that problem in a controlled environment and develop a hypothesis of the same. This can even work as a business study in the future. This strategy can work as a preventive measure for companies that aspire to enter into the same industry that you are a leader of right now.
